CAN I PICK UP MY ARTWORK FROM YOUR STUDIO?

Absolutely!  You are also welcome & encouraged to pick up your original artwork in person at my studio in Seattle WA.  Select Local Pickup at checkout to forgo shipping fees altogether and we will work out a time to meet. You may contact me via my contact page to make arrangements.

I HAVE PLACED MY ORDER, HOW SOON WILL I RECEIVE MY PAINTING?

Most artworks will be packed and shipped within 5 working days. Artworks are sent by FedEx and UPS 2nd day shipping. If you need a piece by a specific date, please contact me first to make sure it can reach you in time. There may be an extra charge for rush shipping according to your requirements.

CAN I RETURN THE ARTWORK I PURCHASED?

In the event a painting needs to be returned, it can be returned and exchanged for an equal or greater value artwork within 30 days of your receiving it. The painting must be carefully packed back in the original packaging you received it in, you will be responsible for the cost of shipping it back 2nd day via UPS or FedEx, with insurance for the full value of the artwork. If you are in the Seattle area, we can eliminate the need for shipping.  Commissions are not returnable or exchangeable.

IS SHIPMENT OF ARTWORK EVER DELAYED BECAUSE OF EXTREME HEAT?

Encaustic fine art paintings are best kept at comfortable room temperatures. In the case of extreme weather, I will sometimes delay a shipment, I will be in touch with you if this is the case.

WHAT ABOUT LARGE OR HIGH-VALUE ARTWORKS?

I appreciate this is a high-value purchase – and a piece of artwork I have spent much time on. It’s important for both of us to make sure it is transported safely. Some couriers have limits on dimensions or what they will carry so certain pieces have individual requirements. This will be noted in the details of the painting listing. Please checkout as usual; an estimated shipping charge will be added to your order. I will then contact you via email to discuss specialist shipping options before the artwork is dispatched. According to the delivery service chosen, actual costs may be higher than the estimated cost shown and you will receive an invoice that must be paid before your order is shipped. Thank you for your understanding!

DO YOU SHIP INTERNATIONALLY?

Yes, I do, by request. If you are outside of the United States please contact me to purchase.

HOW ARE PAINTINGS PACKED FOR SHIPPING?

My paintings are packed with great care. First, they are wrapped in a layer of glassine paper, for smaller artworks, or Tyvek for larger artworks. Cardboard corners are added to larger artworks, before layers of bubble wrap. The painting then goes into a box to be shipped 2nd day UPS or FedEx. All artworks are insured for their full value. The buyer is responsible for all shipping costs.

CAN I COMMISSION A PAINTING?

Commissions are welcome.  It is my pleasure to paint something for you that celebrates the thing you love.  Let me know what you have in mind. The next step is to decide the size of the commissioned artwork and then I can tell you the price. Commissioned artworks are charged at 15% more than my other artworks. I ask for ½ down before starting. The second half is due at the completion of the painting.

By signing the contract the buyer agrees to purchase the contracted artwork. At near completion of work, the customer may request one more hours of my time to make minor adjustments.  Any time spent past one hour will be billed at a rate of $90/hour. The contract also states that I have the discretion to use “artistic license” in manipulating subject matter to better suit the overall piece.
